16. Waterproofing products to be independently and scientifically tested:

Research and accelerated wear and tear for bathroom industry products was first tested and published in "The Bathroom Book". It was an industry first with independent testing at CSIRO Highett Melbourne conducted by The Australian Bathroom & Waterproofing Association. Continued Research and Development was also conducted to ensure the publication of best practices for waterproofing. "The Bathroom Book" has combined onsite and laboratory research for over 40 years and has proven to be the standard for waterproofing technology in Australia.
Also potentially faulty and inferior products and systems have also been vindicated by the test of time. For example, Green wallboard and particleboard are now failing, making leaking showers the No.1 consumer complaint in Australia.
